Fractional ownership in France. Own a fraction in a 3-bed vacation apartment in the ski resort of Morzine, France. This area is great for both Summer and Winter vacations. It is also one of the most suitable ski resorts for self-drive vacations from the UK. This apartment is ideal for families/friends sharing as it has 3 bedrooms. To rent a similar apartment in high season can cost up to GBP 1500/week, so it is easy to see how a fractional scheme such as this could save you money over the initial scheme period (5 years).
The apartment is a refurbishment/new-build project located in Montriond, a short distance from Morzine (and on the ski-bus route). Morzine is a traditional French Alpine village which has a charm sadly lacking in many purpose-built resorts. In the Summer season Morzine becomes a mecca for mountain-biking, and with some of the ski lifts open, you can do the best sort of mountain biking, i,e, the downhill type!

The fractional scheme will run for 5 complete years. At the end of this period the property will be sold and the value will be payed back to the fractional scheme members pro-rata based on the size of their share. Alternatively, if all of the fraction owners agreed (or those that didn’t were bought out at market value) then the fractional scheme would be extended.
Time allocation will be by week as follows (based on 2009 calendar). The changeover day will be Saturday. The time allocation has been broken down into weeks to keep prices to a minimum. Although this method of time allocation looks similar to timeshare, the important difference is that you own a fraction of the property. You could reasonably expect to get your money back or more (depending on movements in property prices) at the end of the fractional scheme period. There is of course nothing to prevent you from purchasing more than 1 fraction, pick Summer and Winter weeks to see the best of everything that Morzine and the French alps have to offer.

The annual maintenance fee will be GBP125/year per main week purchased, with an additional GBP50 for each out of season week booked.
